Each component you add is an important part of the entire system. The final image quality will be only as good as each of the system components. Therefore it is important to consider each element and how it will contribute to your final projected image.

FOR YOUR SPECIAL PRICES CALL EPS (800) 445-6791 Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm Eastern Time. We look forward to hearing from you.

To assist you the best way we can, it is important for us to know the following about your situation:

1. Size of image you want to project.
2. Projector/Screen relationship--front or rear projection.
3. Number and location of signal devices--VCRs, computers, DVD players, etc.
4. Project budget estimate, if available.

VGA or Video Distribution Amplifiers (DA)

A DA accepts a signal from a computer (VGA DA) or a video source (Video DA) and sends the signal to multiple display devices such as additional monitors or multiple video projectors. DAs are available in several configurations--1 in/2 out; 1 in/4 out, etc depending on the system requirements.

Video Mixers

A video mixer accepts several video inputs (VCR, computer video card, DVD, etc) and allows the user to select from those various sources. Special effects are also available as well as the flexibilty to make various transitions between sources.

Popular Video Mixers are the Videonics MXPro and MXProDV

VGA or Video Switchers

Switchers, simple or matrix, allow the user to select from various sources and send the signal to various display devices. They are typically used in situations in which the user wants to send different signals to different displays

Cables

High quality video and VGA cables are very important elements in a successful video system. For rear projection or a ceiling mounted projector, cable runs of 50', 75', or 100' are not unusual. Use high quality cables to avoid signal loss to the projector.

Video Projector Controls

If the video projector is out of the range of the handheld remote control, some type of control extension is needed. One of the systems EPS uses is a wired remote extension system that uses the handheld remote from the projector. The system includes an emitter, connecting block, and IR receiver.

Complete Video Projector Systems

EPS is prepared to design a system for you based on the information you provide. You can review your needs by viewing another page in this department entitled "Video System Checklist." Let us know the parts of the system you have now, or we can assist you in "starting from scratch." Give us a call at (800) 445-6791. We look forward to hearing from you.
